With our e-commerce web site, you can easily order fonts and download them within minutes, 24 hours a day! Our online ordering system is designed so that you can browse through our fonts and add them to a virtual shopping cart, which you can review later before you submit your order.

What is a Shopping Cart?
For you to purchase items on our web site, they must first be placed in your shopping cart.
An online shopping cart is just like the one you use when you visit the grocery store. It holds all of the items you want to buy until you are ready to pay for them and "check out". Adding products to your shopping cart does NOT order them, but keeps track of them while you continue to browse around the store. They will not actually be purchased until you go through the entire check out procedure and enter your contact and payment information.
You can modify or remove items which you have put into your shopping cart before you check out and submit your order.
Adding Items to your Shopping Cart
While you browse the pages of our online font catalog, you will find an option to add any of the fonts which you are viewing to your shopping cart at the bottom of every family or font style page.
Simply select one of the 4 formats (Mac PostScript, Mac TrueType, PC PostScript or PC TrueType) and then choose a product to add to your shopping cart. On each catalog page you can either select to order the particular font style which you are looking at (i.e. regular, italic, bold, etc.) or any of the other styles from that family. You can also choose to order the full font family (containing all available styles), or you can order the full font family plus a companion font family which may be listed at a special rate. All options available will be shown in the pop-up menu, and you will also have the option to order our Full Font Library on any order page.
Once you have selected the format and product you wish to add to your shopping cart, simply click on the "Add to Cart" button to add the specified product to your virtual shopping cart. You can remove or edit any items which you have added, afterwards, when you choose the "View Cart" option.
Viewing Items in your Shopping Cart
You can review the items in your shopping cart by clicking on the "View Cart" button at any time. The shopping cart page will appear showing all of the things which you have added, including prices and formatting details.
Editing and Deleting Items
Beside each product line in your shopping cart (to the left of each line which lists each product that you have added to your shopping cart) you will see two icons: a pencil and a trash can.
By clicking on the pencil icon, you can edit the details of the product listed on that line.
By clicking on the trash can, you can remove the item from your shopping cart. Be sure you really want to delete the item, because you can't undo removals.
Entering Quantity of Items
Many shopping carts allow you to specify the QUANTITY for each product ordered, which you can do if you are ordering our printed catalog. But as you are ordering font software, which can be easily duplicated, you will only receive one copy of a software file, and do not need to specify a quantity. You do, however, need to pay additional licensing if you are going to be installing the fonts onto more than one computer. This is covered in the next section.
You will also have the option to enter a quantity when you order any of our non-software products.
Additional Licensing
If you are licensing fonts for multiple computers, you can calculate the additional licensing fee from within the shopping cart by simply specifying the number of additional computers you will be installing the fonts onto.
Custom Quotes
If you are ordering numerous fonts and planning to license them for more than 30 computers, we may be able to give you a better rate on the Multiple-User Site Licensing than you would get by doing the calculation on the shopping cart page. Please contact
licensing@TypeArt.com to request a special quotation.
Shipping Options
You can specify a shipping method from within the shopping cart. If you are going to download the fonts, there is no additional charge. If you want the fonts delivered by Air Mail or by FedEx Courier, you can specify that and have the extra charges added to your total. The added costs will be reflected on the shopping cart page before you submit your order.
Sales Tax for Canadian Customers
If you are from British Columbia, you are required to pay 7.5% PST and 7% GST. If you are from anywhere else in Canada, you must pay 7% GST.
Discount Codes
If you have received a special discount code, from one of our mailing campaigns, or from a catalog delivery, you can enter this code on the shopping cart page so that your order will be discounted by the amount awarded by your discount code.
Proceeding to Checkout
After you have selected all of the items which you would like to license or purchase and have reviewed the contents of your shopping cart, and added any additional licensing, shipping, or taxes, you are ready to check out. Click on the "Proceed to Checkout" button in order to go to the next stage of the order process, where you will enter your contact information and payment method, which is needed to complete your order.
Checking Out
On the checkout page, you will supply us with all of the necessary contact and payment information which we require in order to process your order.
Paying by Credit Card
We accept VISA, and will soon be accepting MasterCard.
Verifying your Credit Card Billing Address
For both your protection and ours, we will verify your credit card billing address. You will have the option of entering both a contact or shipping address as well as your credit card billing address.
Paying by Check or Money Order, and printing out the Form
If you wish to pay by check or Money Order, you can enter "Check" as your payment method, and submitting the form will result in the appearance of a printable form which contains a summary of your order, details which you entered on the check out page, and our address and other contact information for you to send payment to us.
Secure Ordering
All information which you enter on the Checkout page is confidential. The TypeArt Foundry provides a safe and secure shopping experience through the use of industry-standard SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption technology that protects your credit card number as it passes through the Internet. In its encrypted form it is unreadable to third parties trying to intercept the data while it is in transit. You can confirm that you are on a SSL protected page when you see a key or a closed lock icon at the bottom left of your browser window.
Ordering by Phone
If you would still prefer not to submit your credit card information online, please feel free to call 1-800-289-8973 (in USA and Canada) or 604-602-0331 (for International or local Vancouver callers) to place your order by phone.

Sales Terms and Policies
Once you have completed your order and downloaded or attempted to download your fonts, all sales are final. We do not provide refunds for any of our products once your order has been submitted. We will, however, help to ensure that you receive your order by some alternate means, in the event that you have trouble with the online ordering system.
